Meadowmont periodically holds fun, FREE, family-friendly events for residents and the community. We have a wonderful Meadowmont Music Series planned for this year! Northgate Jams & You! – CANCELLED

Northgate Jams & You is leading an open jam circle! They will provide easy music to read, play and sing. Bring an instrument and join in on the jam or just come out and sing or listen. Amateur musicians are welcome! Bring your own chair to sit on and play (or stand). Fun for all skill levels and age groups!

Triangle Jazz Orchestra

Far From Done

Far from Done consists of five friends/musicians from all over the Triangle playing ALL UKULELE – ALL THE TIME! Their mix of harmonies and pop/rock favorites combined with a lead ukulele player who “shreds it” makes it a great time for all! Far from Done is comprised of: Rick Higgins – Banjolele, Tenor, Soprano, Vocals; Rollie Olin – Baritone, Harmonica, Vocals; David Simpson – Tenor, Vocals; Brian Klemm – Lead Tenor; and Dennis MurrayBass Ukulele

Jon Shain

Jon Shain founded the Chapel Hill, NC folk-rock group, Flyin’ Mice and their spin-off group, WAKE, and toured with them from 1989-1998 . The band performed with acts such as David Grisman, Tony Rice Unit, Hot Tuna, and the Dixie Dregs, released four CDs, and played clubs, schools, and festivals up and down the East Coast, building a legion of fans. The last few years have seen Shain headlining listening rooms on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and in Europe, as well as opening shows for John Hiatt, Keb’ Mo’, Little Feat, and others. In 2019, Shain won first place in the Solo/Duo category of the International Blues Challenge, a prestigious competition that will undoubtedly bring him international fame! See him play for free while you still can!

Too Much Fun

Hailing from Chapel Hill, Too Much Fun has entertained audiences across North Carolina for over a quarter century. They can jump, they can swing, they can flat out rock. Their four-part harmonies light up their own originals alongside choice covers. Featuring rootsy blues, barrelhouse rockers and everything in between, their onstage fun is instantly contagious! They have been called a mix between Southern Culture on the Skids and the Squirrel Nut Zippers.

The Beauty Operators

The Beauty Operators is a local, renegade all-woman party band. These musical polymaths offer a powerful and fun set of Chicago blues, rock and roll, zydeco, lusty disco and originals. These musicians are worth their weight in fun and great music. Imitators are out there but these women are the real thing. They are Juliana Finch – lead vocalist; Darby Odom – lead guitar; Sandee Washington – digital accordion, blues harp, vocals; Maria Linck – rhythm guitar, vocals; Amanda Sycamore – drums, vocals; Mary Anne Barckhoff – bassist.
